今回は、ランタオ島（大嶼山）にあるPui O Beach（貝澳海灘）でなんと潮干狩りに挑戦してきました！

「香港で潮干狩り？」と思われるかもしれませんが、実はできるんです。わたしも最初聞いた時はびっくりしました！！！

しかも天然のアサリがびっくりするほど採れるらしいです、、、

場所はPui O Beachに行ってきました！

Pui O Beachは、香港島からフェリーやバスを使って行けるランタオ島南側にある静かなビーチ🌊

観光地というよりは、ローカルの人が週末にリラックスしに来るような、落ち着いた雰囲気の場所です🐃

アクセス方法は

MTRの東涌駅から「3M」番のバスに乗り換え約30分🚌か

中環のフェリーターミナルから梅窩（Mui Wo）行きのフェリーに乗船し梅窩フェリーターミナルから同じく「3M」番で約20分🚌　バス停からは徒歩5分ほどでビーチへ到着です！！

まず公共交通機関でのんびり行けるのが嬉しいポイント！！

ビーチの近くには牛の群れがいますが、襲ってはこないので安心してください😌🐃

私たちが到着したのは14:00くらいで、ちょうど15:00頃から潮が満ちてきていたタイミングで潮干狩りをスタート🪏🔥

この日はなんとシグナル1（強風注意報）が発令されていましたが、雨が降ったり晴れたりの繰り返し。だけど、これが意外にも快適で…カンカン照りよりも、涼しい風と曇り空でちょうどよかったです☀️

日焼けもそこまで気にせず、夢中で砂の中を探しました。

そしてなんと思った以上にたくさんアサリが採れて、重さにして2〜3キロほど！！

最初は見つけ方にコツが必要でしたが、少しずつ目が慣れてくると、砂の表面に小さな穴が空いていたり、水がぴゅっと吹き出す場所を発見。そこを掘ると…アサリ、アサリ、アサリ！！

帰宅後は、持ち帰った海水を使ってしっかり砂抜き。

翌日には、

🥘 酒蒸し

🍝 アサリのボンゴレパスタ

🍚 あさりの炊き込みご飯

で贅沢なアサリ三昧を堪能しました！

特に酒蒸しにしたアサリはプリップリで旨みたっぷり！

「これ本当に香港で獲れたやつ!?」と疑いたくなるほど美味しかったです😋

Pui O Beachでの潮干狩りは、自然と触れ合いながら、食の喜びも味わえる素敵なアクティビティでした！！

都市の喧騒から離れて、のんびり過ごしたい方やお子様連れの家族にもおすすめです💖

Clam Festival at Pui O Beach, Lantau Island!! ️‼️‼️

This time, I tried clamming at Pui O Beach on Lantau Island!

You might be wondering, “Clamming in Hong Kong?”, but you can actually do it. I was surprised when I first heard about it too!!!

What’s more, it seems that you can find a surprising amount of natural clams there…

The place I went to was Pui O Beach!

Pui O Beach is a quiet beach on the south side of Lantau Island that can be reached by ferry or bus from Hong Kong Island. 🌊

Rather than being a tourist destination, it is a relaxing place where locals come to relax on weekends. 🐃

To get there, take the No. 3M bus from Tung Chung MTR station for about 30 minutes 🚌 or take the ferry from Central Ferry Terminal to Mui Wo, then take the No. 3M ferry from Mui Wo Ferry Terminal for about 20 minutes 🚌. It is about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop to the beach! … There is a herd of cows near the beach, but don’t worry, they won’t attack you 😌🐃

We arrived at around 14:00, and started clamming just as the tide was coming in at around 15:00 🪏🔥

Signal 1 (strong wind warning) was issued that day, but it rained and cleared up again. But it was surprisingly comfortable… the cool breeze and cloudy sky were just right, rather than the scorching sun ☀️

I didn’t worry too much about sunburn, and searched in the sand with fervor.

And I found more clams than I expected, weighing about 2-3 kilograms! … The next day, we enjoyed a luxurious meal of clams with 🥘 steamed clams in sake, 🍝 clam vongole pasta, and 🍚 clam rice!

The clams steamed in sake were especially plump and full of flavor!

They were so delicious that I wondered if they were really caught in Hong Kong! 😋

Clamming at Pui O Beach was a wonderful activity where you could experience the joy of food while interacting with nature! …
