さて、先日香港では毎年恒例のドラゴンボートフェスティバルが開催されていました☀️

まずは、ドラゴンボートフェスティバルとは、、、

香港のドラゴンボートレースは、もともとは中国の詩人・屈原を偲ぶ伝統行事から始まりました。今では毎年6月頃に行われる端午節（Tuen Ng Festival）に合わせた大規模なスポーツイベントに発展しています！！！！

香港では、実は年に2回ドラゴンボートイベントが開催されています。

1回目は端午節（旧暦5月5日）前後の本祭で伝統的な日程で、各地で地元チームが競い合う祭りのような雰囲気です🏞️

2回目はインターナショナル・ドラゴンボート・カーニバルといって世界各国からのチームが集まる国際大会で、スケールがとても大きく尖沙咀（チムサーチョイ）のビクトリア・ハーバー沿いで行われており観光客にも大人気なイベントとなっています🐲🔥

私が行ったのは、チムサーチョイで行われたインターナショナル・ドラゴンボート・カーニバル🚣‍♀️

ハーバーシティのすぐ近く、広々としたプロムナード沿いにずらりと人が並び、カラフルなユニフォームやボートの装飾、太鼓の音に合わせて力強く漕ぐ選手たちの姿には、ついつい夢中になってしまいます👀

当日は香港の気温は30℃以上のカンカン照り☀️日焼け止めや帽子は必須でした🥵🥵🥵

ドラゴンボートの大会がなくても、期間限定で屋台エリアに香港スナックやドリンクも販売されていたのでお祭り気分も味わえました🍻✨

ドラゴンボートフェスティバルの特にチムサーチョイでの大会は、気軽に立ち寄れて、しかも大迫力！でもう一度見てみたいと感じました☀️

Dragon Boat Festival 🐉🚣‍♀️🔥

Well, the annual Dragon Boat Festival was held in Hong Kong the other day☀️

First of all, what is the Dragon Boat Festival?

Hong Kong’s dragon boat race originally started as a traditional event to commemorate the Chinese poet Qu Yuan. Now it has developed into a large-scale sports event that coincides with the Tuen Ng Festival, which is held every June! … The first one is the main festival held around the Dragon Boat Festival (5th day of the 5th month of the lunar calendar) on a traditional date, and it has a festival-like atmosphere with local teams competing in various places 🏞️

The second one is the International Dragon Boat Carnival, an international competition that brings together teams from all over the world. It is held on a very large scale along Victoria Harbour in Tsim Sha Tsui, and is a very popular event with tourists 🐲🔥

I went to the International Dragon Boat Carnival held in Tsim Sha Tsui 🚣‍♀️

Right next to Harbour City , people lined up along the spacious promenade, and the colorful uniforms, boat decorations, and the sight of the athletes powerfully rowing to the sound of the drums were captivating. 👀

On the day, the temperature in Hong Kong was scorching hot at over 30°C ☀️ Sunscreen and hats were a must 🥵🥵🥵

Even though there was no dragon boat competition, Hong Kong snacks and drinks were sold in the food stall area for a limited time, so you could still enjoy the festival atmosphere 🍻✨

The Dragon Boat Festival, especially the competition at Tsim Sha Tsui, is easy to drop in to and very exciting! I felt like I wanted to see it again ☀️
